Bonded magnets, which are formed by mixing magnetic powder and resin, can be processed into various shapes, and the dimensional accuracy of the molded products is high. It is lighter than sintered magnets, which are made by sintering powdered magnetic materials, and has the characteristics of high electrical resistance and low heat loss.

With the conventional manufacturing method, it was difficult to align the orientation of the magnetic particles when using high-strength resin. Therefore, there is a problem that it is difficult to maintain the characteristics of an anisotropic magnet that generates a strong magnetic force only in a specific direction.

Therefore, the company responded to this issue with high-density molding technology and technology for optimizing resins and lubricants. We succeeded in increasing the strength of the bonded magnet while maintaining the magnetic properties of the anisotropic magnet. In the future, this technology will contribute to making motors smaller, lighter, and more efficient for use in electric vehicles (EVs), home appliances, and power tools.
